variance, has been granted and the date <strong>of</strong> the granting, shall be prepared in recordable form by<br />
the Chairman <strong>of</strong> the Board <strong>of</strong> Appeals and delivered to the property owner for recording. The<br />
property owner must record this certificate in the local registry <strong>of</strong> deeds within 90 days <strong>of</strong> the<br />
date <strong>of</strong> the final written approval <strong>of</strong> the variance or the variance is void. The variance is not valid<br />
until recorded as provided in this subsection. For the purpose <strong>of</strong> this subsection, the date <strong>of</strong><br />
the final written approval shall be the date stated on the written approval.<br />
HARBORS, PUBLIC LANDINGS AND TOWN LANDS<br />
Article 60. It was voted to raise and appropriate the reduced amount <strong>of</strong> $4,600.00 for the Harbor<br />
Commission Account.<br />
(Harbor Commission Chairman Ethan Debery made a motion, which was seconded,<br />
to reduce the amount to be raised and appropriated from $6,600.00 to $4,600.00.)<br />
Article 61. It was voted to raise and appropriate the reduced amount <strong>of</strong> $5,000.00 for the <strong>Town</strong><br />
Landing Maintenance Account for the purpose <strong>of</strong> routine maintenance <strong>of</strong> facilities.<br />
(<strong>Town</strong> Landings Committee Chairman Richard Nichols made a motion, which was<br />
seconded, to reduce the amount to be raised and appropriated from $7,900.00 to<br />
$5,000.00.)<br />
Article 62. It was voted to raise and appropriate the recommended amount <strong>of</strong> $20,000.00 for<br />
the <strong>Town</strong> Landing Capital Reserve Account, pursuant to 30-A MRSA § 5801, for major construction<br />
<strong>of</strong> facilities.<br />
Article 63. It was voted to sell a piece <strong>of</strong> town-owned land (605 square feet) at the Parker<br />
Head Landing (a portion <strong>of</strong> Map 011, Lot 045) to abutting land owner Jean Perkins for the sum<br />
<strong>of</strong> $5,000.00. This land is further described in attachments to these <strong>Town</strong> Meeting Minutes.<br />
(<strong>Town</strong> Landings Committee Chairman Richard Nichols made a motion, which was<br />
seconded, to pass the article as read. James Bunce made an amendment, which was seconded<br />
and failed (59 for - 66 against), to reduce the sale amount from $5,000.00 to<br />
$1,500.00.)<br />
Article 64. It was voted to transfer any monies received from Article #63 to the <strong>Town</strong> Landings<br />
Capital Account.<br />
Article 65. It was voted to accept a gift <strong>of</strong> land from The Nature Conservancy consisting <strong>of</strong><br />
40.5 acres in the Basin Preserve and marked as “Waterfront Parcel” on the Land Transfer Survey<br />
Map. This parcel is a portion <strong>of</strong> Map 034, Lot 003 and is further described in attachments<br />
to these <strong>Town</strong> Meeting Minutes.<br />
Article 66. It was voted to accept a gift <strong>of</strong> land from The Nature Conservancy consisting <strong>of</strong><br />
20.04 acres located in the Basin Preserve and marked as “School Parcel” on the Land Transfer<br />
Survey Map. This parcel is a portion <strong>of</strong> Map 042, Lot 022 and is further described in attachments<br />
to these <strong>Town</strong> Meeting Minutes.<br />
