Annie P. Haskell<br />

September 29, 1918 - February 5, <strong>2012</strong><br />

In her earlier years Annie had served as a teacher’s<br />

aide at the <strong>Phippsburg</strong> Elementary School.<br />

Kaye M. Maillard<br />

July 18, 1952 - November 8, <strong>2012</strong><br />

Frederick “Ted” H. Marks<br />

March 22, 1942 - February 24, <strong>2012</strong><br />

Reverend Walter E. Mullen<br />

December 7, 1923 - July 13, <strong>2012</strong><br />

Rev. Mullen served during World War II as a<br />

mechanic in the Canadian Air Force. In 1973<br />

Rev. Mullen moved to <strong>Phippsburg</strong> to serve as<br />

pastor for the West Point and Sebasco churches<br />

until his retirement in 1992. Rev Mullen also<br />

drove a school bus for the <strong>Phippsburg</strong> School<br />

System from 1973 until 1990.<br />

Ted was a veteran foreign correspondent who also<br />

served in the U.S. Navy SEALs during the Vietnam<br />

War. After graduating from Hamilton College in<br />

1964, Ted joined the U.S. Navy. As a naval lieutenant,<br />

he played goaltender for the 1965 U.S. National<br />

ice hockey team, then became a member <strong>of</strong> the U.S.<br />

Navy SEAL Team 2. Ted served in Vietnam, where<br />

he was awarded the Bronze Star (V device) and a Purple<br />

Heart for his service in the Mekong Delta.<br />
