LIBRARIES<br />

Article 65. To see what sum the <strong>Town</strong> will vote to raise and appropriate for the care, maintenance<br />

and operation <strong>of</strong> the Albert F. Totman Library.<br />

(Selectmen, Budget Committee, and Library Trustees recommend $28,000.00.)<br />

LY - $28,000.00<br />

Article 66. To see what sum the <strong>Town</strong> will vote to raise and appropriate for the Albert F. Totman<br />

Library Capital Improvement Reserve account, pursuant to 30-A MRSA § 5801, for the<br />

purpose <strong>of</strong> building repairs and major maintenance.<br />

(Selectmen, Budget Committee, and Library Trustees recommend $4,500.00.)<br />

LY - $4,500.00<br />

Article 67. To see if the <strong>Town</strong> will elect one trustee to the Albert F. Totman Library for a term<br />

<strong>of</strong> five years.<br />

Article 68. To see what sum the <strong>Town</strong> will vote to raise and appropriate to support the operating<br />

costs <strong>of</strong> the Patten Free Library.<br />

(The Patten Free Library requested $35,493.00 based on town population. The Selectmen<br />

and the Budget Committee do not recommend approval.) LY - $25,000.00 was raised and appropriated,<br />

but refused by the Patten Free Library.<br />

CEMETERIES, RECREATION & AGENCIES<br />

Article 69. To see if the <strong>Town</strong> will elect one trustee for the <strong>Phippsburg</strong> Cemetery District, Inc.<br />

to serve a term <strong>of</strong> five years.<br />

Article 70. To see what sum the <strong>Town</strong> will vote to raise and appropriate for annual maintenance<br />

costs <strong>of</strong> Morningside, Reed, and Hillside cemeteries.<br />

(Selectmen, Budget Committee, and the <strong>Phippsburg</strong> Cemetery District, Inc. recommend<br />

$10,000.00.) LY - $15,000.00<br />

Article 71. To see what sum the <strong>Town</strong> will vote to raise and appropriate for the operating budget<br />

<strong>of</strong> the Recreation Commission.<br />

(Selectmen, Budget Committee, and Recreation Commission recommend $12,000.00.)<br />

LY - $10,000.00<br />

Article 72. To see what sum the <strong>Town</strong> will vote to raise and appropriate for the purpose <strong>of</strong> installing<br />

a new community electronic sign at the <strong>Phippsburg</strong> Elementary School to replace the<br />

wooden sign.<br />

(Selectmen and Budget Committee recommend $4,000.00. This will be a cost share over<br />

two years between the <strong>Town</strong>, RSU, Recreation Commission and School PTA. Total cost <strong>of</strong> the<br />

sign will be approximately $20,000 <strong>of</strong> which the <strong>Town</strong> will pay $8,000.00, RSU $8,000.00,<br />

Recreation Commission $4,000.00 and the PTA what they are able to fundraise.) LY - $00.00<br />
