<strong>of</strong> <strong>of</strong>ficers<br />

124. Any part <strong>of</strong> an estimate <strong>of</strong> expenditure (including a<br />

supplementary estimate <strong>of</strong> expenditure) laid before <strong>the</strong> National<br />

Assembly under <strong>the</strong> provisions <strong>of</strong> this Chapter, being a part that<br />

shows statutory expenditure, shall not be voted on by <strong>the</strong> House;<br />

but <strong>the</strong> expenditure to which that part relates shall, without<br />

Parliament’s fur<strong>the</strong>r authority, be paid out <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Consolidated<br />

Fund.<br />

125. A sum shall not be paid out <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Consolidated<br />

Fund except upon authority <strong>of</strong> a warrant under <strong>the</strong> hand <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

Minister or a person authorised by him or her in writing; and any<br />

sum so paid out shall<br />

(a) be applied to meeting expenditure authorised<br />

by section 100(1); or<br />

(b) in <strong>the</strong> case <strong>of</strong> statutory expenditure, be used<br />

for <strong>the</strong> purposes appointed by <strong>the</strong> relevant<br />

law.<br />

126. The public debt <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Commonwealth <strong>of</strong> Grenada,<br />

as well as<br />

(a) <strong>the</strong> interest on that debt;<br />

(b) sinking fund payments and redemption<br />

moneys in respect <strong>of</strong> that debt; and<br />

(c) <strong>the</strong> costs, charges and expenses incidental to<br />

<strong>the</strong> management <strong>of</strong> that debt, and any o<strong>the</strong>r<br />

public funds established by or under this<br />

Constitution shall be a charge on <strong>the</strong><br />

Consolidated Fund.<br />

127.(1) There shall be paid to <strong>the</strong> holders <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>of</strong>fices to<br />

which this section applies such salaries as may be prescribed by<br />

Parliament.<br />

(2) The salaries payable to <strong>the</strong> holders <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>of</strong>fices to<br />

which this section applies are charged on <strong>the</strong> Consolidated Fund.<br />

(3) The salary and allowances payable to, and <strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r<br />

terms <strong>of</strong> service <strong>of</strong>, a person holding an <strong>of</strong>fice to which this section<br />

applies shall not be altered to his or her disadvantage after his or<br />

her appointment; and, for <strong>the</strong> purposes <strong>of</strong> this subsection, in so far<br />

as <strong>the</strong> terms <strong>of</strong> service <strong>of</strong> a person depend upon <strong>the</strong> option <strong>of</strong> that<br />

person, <strong>the</strong> terms for which he or she opts are to be taken to be<br />

more advantageous to him than any o<strong>the</strong>r terms for which he might<br />

have opted.<br />

(4) This section applies to <strong>the</strong> following <strong>of</strong>fices:<br />

(a) <strong>the</strong> President;<br />

(b) a Judge;<br />

(c) <strong>the</strong> Director <strong>of</strong> Public Prosecutions;<br />

(d) <strong>the</strong> Director <strong>of</strong> Audit;<br />

(e) a member <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Electoral and Boundaries<br />

Commission;<br />
