Vern Lindholm, Ainsworth, exhibitor, and<br />

his wife were in Omaha to complete adoption<br />

of a baby girl. The Lindholms adopted<br />

a baby boy two years ago . White.<br />

former Avoca. Iowa, manager, has returned<br />

to Fitzsimons General hospital. Denver, where<br />

he is recup>erating after an operation for<br />

mortar shell injuries suffered at Ft. Riley .<br />

OUver Broughton, MGM maintenance auditor,<br />

spent three days at the Omaha branch.<br />

Vince Flynn, MGM manager, went to Des<br />

Moines on business , . . The MGM staff feted<br />

two members w^hose birthdays fall in the<br />

holiday season, salesman Rich Wilson and<br />

Mrs. Bernadine Hartgrove, daughter of Mr.<br />

manager, reported Manager Loren Landkamer<br />

is off the sick list and back on the job<br />

at Fairbury, allowing Ted Emerson, relief<br />

manager, to return to Omaha . Renfro<br />

of the Theatre Booking Service and his wiff<br />

drove to Kansas City to return his brotherin-law<br />

and wife. Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Morgan,<br />

who had been visiting in Omaha.<br />

WaMy Johnson, Friend exhibitor, displayed<br />

some toughened hands on a visit to Pilmrow.<br />

The area had one of its worst snows and thawing<br />

weather formed an ice block on the roof<br />

that sent water pouring down the rear walls<br />

inside the theatre until the ice was chopped<br />

away . Omahans enjoyed the richest diet<br />

of legitimate theatre in three decades last<br />

year, with 28 productions ranging from comic<br />

opera to ice skating.<br />

Walter Jajicke, Lincoln showman, was in<br />

Omaha for one of his many customary visits<br />

to cheer polio victims . . . Pilmrow visitors<br />
