L- 1841—A catalog page describing "Toilaflex,"
a heavy duty plunger for clearing
theatre toilets of any shape or size, has
been prepared by the Stevens-Burt Co., a
division of 'Water Master Co. The natural
rubber plunger utihzes accordion-action
cup compression, enabling it to work from
any angle to force air deep into a stopped
up toilet trap.
L- 1842—Plastic marquee letters may be
quickly repaired even by inexperienced theatre
help with the use of Plastic 'Weld, according
to two circulars prepared by the
Plastic 'Weld Co. Chemical action is employed
to "weld" together broken pieces of
a letter. Plastic-'Weld also is said to add
life and color to a repaired marquee letter.
Coating the entire sui-face of a letter with
the welding chemical will greatly increase
the strength of the plastic.
L-1843—EPRAD equipment and construction
services available for drive-in theatres
are described in a folder released by
Electrical Products Research and Development
Co. The folder offers especially timely
aid for the outdoor theatremen who may be
new to the field and who seek experienced
guidance in technical aspects of equipment
selection and operation.
Dust is a big problem with most driveins
as it detracts from their location, increases
maintenance cost and definitely
keeps business away. Many operators of
drlve-in theatres have eliminated dust by
using calcium chloride.
