requires only server-side certificates. The CHAP protocol requires a user<br />

name and password to be configured.<br />

» EAP-TTLS-MSCHAPV2: Tunneled Transport Layer Security with<br />

Microsoft’s version 2 of CHAP. The MS-CHAP protocol requires a user name<br />

and password to be configured.<br />

• EAP Mode – Defines the authentication mode.<br />

» device only: Specifies authentication using the unique X.509<br />

authentication certificate included with the gateway firmware.<br />

» user-only: Specifies authentication using the configured user name and<br />

password.<br />

» user-device: Specifies authentication using the configured user name and<br />

password, and the unique X.509 authentication certificate.<br />

• <strong>User</strong>name – The user name required for EAP-TTLS authentication.<br />

(Default: pseudo@realm)<br />

• Password – The user password required for EAP-TTLS authentication.<br />

(Range: 1-32 characters; Default: hello)<br />

• MAC Address @ domain – A text string that is used to identify the<br />

authentication realm for device authentication. This identity is used to proxy<br />

an authentication request to another remote server. The authentication is then<br />

performed using the unique X.509 authentication certificate included with the<br />

device firmware. The identity string consists of the device MAC address<br />

together with an operator-specified domain name. For example;<br />
