Appendixes: None are specified in JOPES; however, appropriate matters above may be<br />

B.1.2.4 Annex K, Comm<strong>and</strong>, Control, <strong>and</strong> Communications Systems.<br />
Ensure that METOC communication requirements are included in Annex K Especially see<br />
Appendix 3 to Annex K, Communications Planning <strong>and</strong> Appendix 4 to Annex K, Satellite<br />
Communications Planning. Include Global Broadcast System (GBS) <strong>and</strong> b<strong>and</strong>width<br />
requirements, SIPRNET/NIPRNET connectivity, radio networks (HF, VHF, UHF),<br />
telephone networks, fiber optic networks, weather communications, air-to-air <strong>and</strong> air-toground<br />
communications, fleet broadcast communications, <strong>and</strong> ship-shore-ship<br />
communications.<br />
B.1.2.5 Annex N, Space Operations.<br />
The following sections from Annex N may be applicable. Note that the word<br />
“environmental” in Annex N refers to any meteorological, oceanographic, geodetic, <strong>and</strong><br />
other environmental support information provided by space assets that affect space, air,<br />
surface, or subsurface activities <strong>and</strong> assets. Describe detailed environmental services in<br />
Annex H, Meteorological <strong>and</strong> Oceanographic Operations.<br />
1. Situation.<br />
c. Friendly. Identify all friendly space forces <strong>and</strong> assets in theater <strong>and</strong> to be deployed<br />
in theater. Include METOC satellite requirements as well as any associated receivers<br />
<strong>and</strong> sensors.<br />
