B.2 NATO/PfP (Partnership for Peace) Format<br />

METOC operations can be documented in Annex T or Annex U, METOC Support. The ad<br />

hoc Combined <strong>Joint</strong> Task Force (CJTF) will probably finalize the format. The following<br />

layout is similar to what is typically used:<br />

1. Plan Identification (operations plan being implemented, if any)<br />

2. References<br />

3. Task Organization (in an exercise environment, may be Time Zone)<br />

4. Situation<br />

a. General (can reference the basic Operations Order (OPORD))<br />

b. Strategic Conceptions, Scope, <strong>and</strong> Objectives (similar to objectives listed in<br />

“Mission”, para. 2 of Annex H of a U.S. OPORD)<br />

c. Risk Assessment <strong>and</strong> Enemy Forces (probably N/A; could address safety, force<br />

protection, supportability, <strong>and</strong> communications risks)<br />

d. Centers of Gravity (critical aspects of METOC operations)<br />

e. Friendly Forces (can reference basic OPORD)<br />

f. Attachments <strong>and</strong> Detachments (may not be used)<br />

g. Assumptions (similar to Annex H para. 1.b.; may want to include additional NATO<br />

factors)<br />

h. Planning Factors <strong>and</strong> Constraints (similar to Annex H para. 1.c.)<br />

- Include general characteristics of the region (may be included in appendixes to<br />

the annex)<br />

5. Mission (similar to Annex H para 2, “Mission”)<br />

This format can include specific missions being supported, if known.<br />

6. Execution<br />

a. Comm<strong>and</strong>er’s Intent (JMO’s intent)<br />
