Suffice it to suppose
that across the street
a humming bird imagines
its nest as spun of
pure circumstance, or
that the corridor beside
the calendar is cloaked
in disarray, arriving
at sometime or other
aboard a bubble cast about
in air or
dumped unceremoniously
into the asymptote
that becomes your
journey's life, I
beside you, cutting in
& over flips of
imperceptible switches
just out of reach of
the laughter, larder,
larceny of inability's
raptured threnody.
Imagine you're on a log or nail
or disposable table-length
heliotrope and the man in the
corner booth buttonholes you
about the price of seats to
the game, demanding more than
could be gained in the course
