PURPOSE
Lions Club of Wynyard are the Wynyard Christmas Parade organisers and Council
permission is requested to stage an event in the Wynyard town area.
BACKGROUND
The Lions Club of Wynyard seeks approval for the conduct of the Wynyard Christmas
Parade. The event will take place on Monday, 24 December 2012.
A copy of the correspondence received from the Lions Club of Wynyard is provided. It
includes the letter Road Closure Application, dated 18 October 2012 and a map of the
area involved.
DETAILS
The Wynyard Christmas Parade is scheduled to commence set up at 4:30pm on Monday,
24 December 2012, and will run for approximately 4 hours, estimated completion time of
8:30pm.
The proposed road closures for the event are:
Austin Street – Between Inglis Street & Jenner Street (marshalling area 5pm – 8pm)
Inglis Street – Between Austin Street & Saunders Street (6:30pm – 8pm)
Goldie Street – Between Saunders Street & Moore Street (4:30pm – 8:30pm)
Moore Street – Between Goldie Street & Dodgin Street (6:30pm – 8:30pm)
Dodgin Street – Between Moore Street & Jackson Street (6:30pm – 8pm)
Jackson Street – Between Dodgin Street & Goldie Street (6:30pm – 8pm)
Hogg Street – Between Dodgin Street and Goldie Street (6:30pm – 8pm)
Little Goldie Street (6:30pm – 8pm)
