How does US$35/month provide for a child
enrolled in GFA Bridge of Hope
The support that is given provides a child with an education
and personal help with their studies; it also gives them school
supplies like books and backpacks and a clean and sturdy
uniform to wear. Children receive practical items like towels
and toothpaste. Each day they are served a nutritious meal, and
every year there is a medical checkup with a trained doctor. Most
important, this child will receive the personal care of the Living
God, as manifested through the prayers and presence of GFA
Bridge of Hope staff.
There is much more to educating children than simply filling
their heads with facts and figures. Our staff knows how important
it is that the students understand they are not doomed to the
same fate as their parents and grandparents, but that they have
the potential to literally change the world in which they live.
How does the sponsorship money reach the
children
Gospel for Asia is firmly committed to good stewardship
of the funds entrusted to us. GFA sends 100 percent of child
sponsorship donations directly to the GFA Bridge of Hope
school programs on the field without deducting anything for
administrative costs.
When a donation is sent to GFA, we forward the monies to
the field office in the nation where that child lives. The funds are
then exchanged for local currency and sent to the leaders who
oversee the center in which that child is enrolled.
