No Longer a Slumdog
We know that God’s ears are attentive to the pleas of the captives.
Jesus said He came for this very purpose: “The Spirit of the
Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel
to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to
preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the
God Himself was coming down to earth to do this rescuing, saving
Instead, God says to Moses, “Go. I am sending you” (Exodus
3:10, emphasis mine).
If God were coming down to save His people, why did He
