more than 200 kilometers away from them. I told him, “We need
to set up a center in this village right away.”
Within one week, I got a call back from our leader saying
that they had established a GFA Bridge of Hope center with 150
of these desperately hungry children. They distributed blankets
and met some basic needs of the poor people in the village. And
now these children would be cared for, get a warm meal each day
and receive an education. As it often happens, a door was opened
for our workers to share the love of Christ and bring the assurance
that God will take care of them. Thank God that we were
able to learn about their situation before it was too late.
God knows. He hears. He sees their pain. And He has
brought us to the point at which we can, by His grace, help do
something about it.
