NOTE: Simultaneous planning and preparation are key factors in effective time management during the troopleading<br />

process. The next five steps (issue a warning order; make a tentative plan; initiate movement;<br />

conduct reconnaissance; complete the plan) may occur simultaneously and/or in a different order. As noted,<br />

the final troop-leading step, supervise and refine, is on-going throughout the process.
