8. A member of the sponsoring group must remain at the table or display at all times. At no<br />
time are displays to be left unattended.<br />
9. Space approval and reservations can be revoked at the discretion of the director of student<br />
activities.<br />
BULLETIN BOARD POLICY<br />
1. Student bulletin boards are located around the campus to serve as information resources<br />
for the campus. This policy is established to control and regulate bulletin board use.<br />
a. All posters, displays or other forms of publicity for student events must be approved<br />
by the student activities staff.<br />
b. Approved handbills, flyers or posters must receive a stamp from the student<br />
activities office. The stamp will have a date of expiration 10 days from when it was<br />
posted. The party responsible for the display is also responsible for its removal.<br />
c. Approved displays may not be placed on painted walls, windshields of cars, glass<br />
doors or windows.<br />
2. The university reserves the right to regulate the material and location of material to be<br />
displayed and distributed on the campus.<br />
STUDENT RIGHT TO KNOW ACT<br />
<strong>Barry</strong> <strong>University</strong> is in compliance with Student Right To Know And Campus<br />
Security Act (PL 101-542). Specific information regarding this act may be obtained in the<br />
public safety office.<br />
CONTRACTS<br />
The unauthorized use of the <strong>Barry</strong> <strong>University</strong> name, which is the property of the<br />
university, by any student or student organization is grounds for disciplinary action. All<br />
Contracts for student activities require the signature of the director of student activities and the<br />
vice president for Business Affairs.<br />
DRESS<br />
While on campus, <strong>Barry</strong> <strong>University</strong> students are expected to exercise mature<br />
judgment and personal responsibility in dress. Choice of dress should be appropriate to the<br />
nature of the occasion, to the circumstance and/or the time. When working, student employees<br />
of the university are responsible to their supervisors for dress standards.<br />
PARKING<br />
The laws which govern the operation of vehicles in the state of Florida apply to all<br />
students at <strong>Barry</strong> <strong>University</strong>. Parking on the <strong>Barry</strong> <strong>University</strong> campus is a privilege, not a<br />
right, and is available to persons driving on campus solely under the rules and regulations<br />
prescribed within. Parking and traffic regulations are provided in Public Safety, TH 119. All<br />
vehicles, motorcycles or scooters driven to the campus must be registered with Public Safety.<br />
Traffic and parking regulations are distributed when parking decals for the academic year are<br />
issued (usually in September or January).<br />
In order to register a vehicle, the following items are required: 1) current class<br />
schedule, 2) vehicle registration, and 3) valid university ID card.<br />
Bicycles are permitted and must be kept in the racks provided throughout the<br />
campus. Students are urged to register their bicycles with the Miami Shores Police<br />
Department.<br />
The university assumes no responsibility for damages to or theft of cars or bikes.<br />
Any occurrence of damage or theft should be reported to the university public safety office and<br />
the Miami Shores Police Department.<br />
