Antifreeze Drilling Unit<br />
Your drilling unit can be left overnight in freezing conditions by circulating a polyproplyene-based antifreeze<br />
(p/n 265-644) through optional antifreeze system before shutdown.<br />
Add Antifreeze<br />
Without optional antifreeze kit:<br />
1. Move carriage to front of drill frame.<br />
2. Position 1-gal (4-L) bucket under spindle.<br />
3. Connect hose to drilling fluid pump inlet<br />
(shown).<br />
4. Insert hose into container of approved<br />
antifreeze.<br />
5. Turn drilling fluid control fully clockwise to off<br />
position.<br />
6. Start unit and set throttle to slow position.<br />
7. Slowly turn drilling fluid control<br />
counterclockwise to start fluid flow.<br />
8. Run drilling fluid pump until antifreeze comes<br />
out of spindle.<br />
9. Turn drilling fluid control fully clockwise to stop flow.<br />
Using optional antifreeze kit:<br />
1. Fill antifreeze tank with 1 gal (4 L) of<br />
approved antifreeze.<br />
2. Move carriage to front of drill frame.<br />
3. Position 1-gal (4-L) bucket under spindle.<br />
4. Open valve between antifreeze tank and<br />
head of drilling fluid pump.<br />
5. Turn drilling fluid control fully clockwise to off<br />
position.<br />
6. Start unit and set throttle to slow position.<br />
7. Slowly turn drilling fluid control<br />
counterclockwise to start fluid flow.<br />
8. Run drilling fluid pump until antifreeze comes<br />
out of spindle.<br />
9. Turn drilling fluid control fully clockwise to stop flow.<br />
