Chapter 11 - Com Namespace<br />

com.network.1.subnet_mask<br />

This variable contains the subnet mask used for the first network interface<br />

on the reader.<br />

The following example returns the subnet mask of the first network<br />

interface on the reader. To set the subnet mask, use the<br />

com.network.1.set() function.<br />

com.network.discovery.autonomous<br />

This variable enables or disables autonomous discovery. If enabled,<br />

discovery will send out unsolicited multicast discovery packets every 40<br />

seconds and during initialization and reader mgmt status changes. If<br />

disabled, discovery packets will only be sent out when requested by an<br />

external source like RST (Reader Startup Tool).<br />

You MUST restart discovery (reader.stop_service(discovery),<br />

reader.start_service(discovery)) or reboot the reader for this setting to take<br />

effect.<br />
