9th Annual UAE University Research Conference”.
Harvard Medical School Dubai Centre Tamayoz
Award
In recognition of his research activities Ahmed Al Hammadi,
now a senior Medical Student, received the Harvard Medical
School Dubai Center Tamayoz Award in the category Trainee
Award for Research (2008). Ahmed spent three years working in
the field of diabetes and heart function in the laboratory of
Professor Chris Howarth. In 2007 Ahmed was selected for a UK
Research Scholarship and spent the summer holidays working
in the laboratory of Professor Saadeh Suleiman at the Bristol Heart
Institute, University of Bristol. He contributed to the publication
of a full paper in the Journal of Molecular & Cellular Biochemistry
(2007) and has presented his research at various national and
international conferences.
