MGMT 444 (INBU 444) International Management:<br />

The international dimensions of management. Topics include the environment of international<br />

management, strategic planning, managing political risk, organizing international operations,<br />

decision making, control, human resource management, communication, and motivation.<br />

Gives special treatment to the problems of intercultural management. Prerequisites: MGMT<br />

225, ECON/INBU 250. 3 sem. hrs. 3 crs.<br />

MGMT 446 (PSYN 446) Human Resource Management: (Computer Component)<br />

Introduction to the theory and practice of personnel management including manpower planning,<br />

recruitment and selection, training and development, wage and salary administration, employee<br />

benefits, employee relations, and EEO compliance. Emphasis is placed upon the proper utilization<br />

of each human resource function as a means for motivating employees to achieve organizational<br />

objectives. Prerequisites: MGMT 225; PSYN 101. 3 sem. hrs. 3 crs.<br />

MGMT 455 Software Solutions for Business Problems: (Computer Component)<br />

This senior level course will serve to supplement the problem solving techniques learned<br />

in previous business courses. Business software packages will integrate the theory, the<br />

practice and the application needed in today’s solution oriented environment. Prerequisites: ENGL<br />

112; ECON/MATH 122; ECON 220-221; FINC 320; MGMT 225; MKTG 220. 3 sem. hrs. 3 crs.<br />

MGMT 460 Management: Issues, Policies, and Procedures:<br />

A senior level capstone course designed to unify the mosaic of previous course work<br />

and, building on the base of previous knowledge, to develop analytical and decisionmaking<br />

ability; review and synthesis of past material as the base for case discussion and<br />

problem solving. Use of analytical and logical skills. Various facets of the firm and their<br />

interrelationship in decision-making. Course should be taken in the senior year. Prerequisites:<br />

ENGL 112; ECON/MATH 122; ECON 220-221; FINC 320; MGMT 225; MKTG 220. 3 sem.<br />

hrs. 3 crs.<br />

MGMT 465 Entrepreneurship:<br />

A senior level course in which students will learn the technique of developing and evaluating<br />

new business ventures. Actual projects will be examined. The world of venture capital will be<br />

studied. Entrepreneurial abilities of the students will be developed. Prerequisites: ENGL 112;<br />

ECON 220, ECON 221, ECON 122; FINC 320; MGMT 225; MKTG 220. 3 sem. hrs. 3 crs.<br />

MGMT 490 Integrative Project - Part I:<br />

This project, which is carried out under the guidance of a faculty mentor, is a paper in which<br />

the student integrates the knowledge acquire in the program and applies it to a real world<br />

situation, In Part I the students selects and researches a topic, then presents a detailed outline<br />

with the sources of information used. 3 sem. hrs. 3 crs.<br />

MGMT 495 Integrative Project - Part II:<br />

This project, which is carried out under the guidance of a faculty mentor, is a paper in which<br />

the student integrates the knowledge acquired in the program and applies it to a real world<br />

situation. In Part II the student writes the paper that was researched and outlined in Part I.<br />

3 sem. hrs. 3 crs.<br />

MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS<br />

MGMT 440 Seminar for Office Information Systems and Technology:<br />

A capstone course for those specializing in Office Information Systems and Technology;<br />

project, under direction of the faculty, includes current readings and experience in the analysis,<br />

design, and implementation of office information systems. Corequisite: MGMT/PSYN 345. 3<br />

sem. hrs. 3 crs.
