Transfer Provost Scholarship<br />

Scholarships are awarded to outstanding entering transfer students who have a<br />

cumulative GPA of 3.0 to 3.39 and an Associate’s Degree. Scholarship awards are<br />

renewable for the duration of the undergraduate degree as long as the recipient meets<br />

the conditions for retaining the award.<br />

Transfer Presidents Scholarship<br />

Scholarships are awarded to outstanding entering transfer students who have a<br />

cumulative GPA of 3.4 to 3.69 and an Associate’s Degree. Scholarship awards are<br />

renewable for the duration of the undergraduate degree as long as the recipient meets<br />

the conditions for retaining the award.<br />

Transfer Trustee Scholarship<br />

Scholarships are awarded to outstanding entering transfer students who have a<br />

cumulative GPA of 3.7 or above, and an Associate’s Degree. Scholarship awards are<br />

renewable for the duration of the undergraduate degree as long as the recipient meets<br />

the conditions for retaining the award.<br />

Athletics<br />

<strong>Mercy</strong> is a Division II NCAA member and offers intercollegiate competition in men’s<br />

baseball, basketball, cross-country, track and field, soccer, tennis and golf. Women’s<br />

intercollegiate sports include basketball, cross-country, track and field, soccer, softball,<br />

and volleyball. Athletic scholarships are available to students who meet the eligibility<br />

guidelines as specified by the NCAA and are selected as scholarship recipients.<br />

E.L. Franz County Scholarship Program<br />

Scholarships awarded annually to needy adult students who have not recently been in<br />

a “normal schooling pattern” and are not normally eligible for scholarship funding.<br />

E.L. Franz Scholarship Fund<br />

Scholarships awarded annually to an employed student receiving full financial aid<br />

in order to reduce dependence on employment income and enhance opportunity for<br />

academic success.<br />

Joel Halpern Memorial Scholarship<br />

Made to perpetuate the spirit of Mr. Halpern and in recognition of his contributions<br />

to the enrichment of the cultural and educational environment of Westchester County.<br />

Awarded annually to a student from Westchester; renewed in the sophomore, junior<br />

and senior years provided the recipient continues to qualify for financial aid according<br />

to college guidelines.<br />

Frances T.M. Mahoney Scholarship Fund for Students<br />

This endowed fund supports a student with a GPA of 3.0 or higher who is in need<br />

of financial aid. Please contact the Office of Institutional Advancement for more<br />

information.
