Five Courses (15 Credits):<br />

The Certificate in Web Design program is intended for students who want to update<br />

their computing skills and knowledge or are seeking a change in career. It covers specific<br />

professional skills/concepts that are much in demand in business and industry. This<br />

certificate is designed to provide the student with knowledge sufficient to develop Web<br />

sites and participate in the maintenance of Internet, Intranet and Extranet infrastructure<br />

and services. It includes all of the material required to pass the i-Net+ Certification<br />

from the Computer Technology Industry Association (CompTIA).<br />

CISC/MATH 120 Introduction to Computers and Application Software*<br />

CISC/CART 219 Web Design I<br />

CISC 220 Database Applications<br />

CISC/CART 259 Web Design II<br />

CISC 359 Web Site Administration<br />

† Students taking Computer Information Science Courses will have to spend time outside of class<br />

working with computers.<br />

* Students with prior knowledge of computers may omit this course and take an additional CISC<br />

course numbered 130 or above upon approval of the department chairperson.<br />
