OPERATION<br />
LOW CURRENT CUTTING WITH AIR (50 to 100 Amps)<br />
1. Ensure that the correct components are assembled in the <strong>PT</strong>-<strong>600</strong> for the cutting conditions.<br />
2. To cut with air, disconnect N 2<br />
supply from the Flow Control. Connect a supply of clean, filtered air (approximately 100<br />
psig to the N 2<br />
inlet on the Flow Control.<br />
3. For low current cutting with the <strong>PT</strong>-<strong>600</strong> and ESP-1000 a cut gas regulator system is required for air. See figure 4-1 for<br />
assembly details.<br />

4. Set the O 2<br />
/N 2<br />
switch to N 2<br />
position.<br />
5. Place CUT WATER switch to OFF.<br />
6. Set CUT GAS Flow Rate.<br />
7. Position TEST/RUN switch to RUN 1.<br />
8. Set start gas pressure as follows:<br />
A. TEST/RUN switch to START GAS TEST.<br />
B. Adjust start gas regulator to 30 psig.<br />
C. Return TEST/RUN switch to RUN 1.<br />
9. Set cut gas pressure as follows:<br />
A. TEST/RUN switch to CUT GAS TEST<br />
B. Adjust cut gas regulator to 60 psig.<br />
C. Return TEST/RUN switch to RUN 1 position.<br />
