7. Look for any round, spherical objects that appear to have a small<br />
spout or protrusion. <strong>Golden</strong> nematode cysts have a color range<br />
from golden-to shades of orange-to dark brown or black. See a<br />
microscopic view of golden nematode cysts in Figure 2-4-16<br />
below.<br />

8. If you locate a suspect golden nematode cyst, then continue to<br />
the instructions for removing cysts Step 5: Remove Cysts.<br />
9. After you are finished examining the sample and have removed<br />
all suspect golden nematode cysts for identification, then dump<br />
the flotsam from the tray into the empty beaker.<br />
10. Take the small #60 sieve, tri-section plastic tray, and reading<br />
well to the laboratory sink. Thoroughly clean each item, and<br />
make sure all material is removed.<br />
11. Repeat each step above until all beaker samples have been<br />
examined.<br />
