Step 5: Remove Cysts<br />
All golden cysts must be identified, whether they are considered to be<br />
viable or not. If you locate one or more golden nematode cysts when<br />
reading a sample, then do as follows:<br />
1. Get one vial and a lid from the golden nematode station and take<br />
to the sampling station.<br />
A. Use only one vial per sample, even if there are multiple cysts<br />
from the same sample.<br />
B. Do not mix cysts from multiple samples into one vial.<br />
2. Look under the microscope and use the loop to locate and isolate<br />
each golden nematode cyst.<br />
3. Use the loop to remove the suspect golden nematode cyst(s) from<br />
the flotsam in the tray; and place each cyst into the vial. Screw<br />
on the lid. See Figure 2-4-17 below.<br />
