5. Prepare a label using a ballpoint pen or thin permanent marker<br />
to write the collection number, sample bag number, number of<br />
suspected golden nematode cysts found in the individual sample,<br />
and your initials. See the example in Figure 2-4-18 below.<br />

DEM-01 is the collection number; Bag 3 is the sample bag<br />
number; 1 is the number of suspect golden nematode cysts in<br />
the vial; and AD are the initials.<br />
6. Attach the label to the sample vial and cover the label with<br />
scotch tape.<br />
7. Keep all sample vials from the collection together (do not mix<br />
collections).<br />
8. Go to the <strong>Golden</strong> <strong>Nematode</strong> Laboratory Sample Processing Daily<br />
sheet, locate the BEAKER NO. (cysts were in) and record under<br />
COLL. NO. the number of cysts found.<br />
9. Give the vial collection to the Laboratory Leader.<br />
10. When cysts are found, then at the end of the collection clean and<br />
thoroughly sanitize all laboratory equipment, sinks, and<br />
countertops before starting a new collection.<br />
