Near Real-Time Modelling of Regional Scale Soil Erosion 173
to parameterize and validate an intermediate scale model. This model could provide a more
detailed assessment, confirm coarse resolution model predictions using upscaling from
ground measurements – through intermediate scale model predictions – to coarse scale
estimates, and finally, to study the effects of any erosion alleviation measures that might
be implemented.
