12.8 DLI Implementation and Reference Guide
Device RGB
This space allows you to use full color by encoding the color as three channels, one for

each of the Radiant primary colors Red, Green and Blue. Each channel has a value
between zero (none of this color) and 1 (highest level of this color).
The color channels are always
• color[0] = RED
• color[1] = GREEN
• color[2] = BLUE
If your internal model uses a different sequence, you must reorder the colors when
setting color values.
The atom used to create an RGB color space is DeviceRGB.
Device CMYK
This space allows you to use full color by encoding the color as 4 channels, one for
each of the absorbent colors Cyan, Magenta and Yellow, and a fourth channel for
Black. Each channel has a value between zero (No Absorption) and 1 (Full
Absorption).
The channels are arranged as
• color[0] = CYAN
• color[1] = MAGENTA
• color[2] = YELLOW
• color[3] = BLACK
The atom used to create a CMYK color space is DeviceCMYK.
Calibrated Gray
This is a calibrated color space, intended to make use of the knowledge of the display
