Annotations and Links 13.3
Actions
Actions can be specified in a number of ways, depending on the complexity of the
action.
DLI directly supports the most basic forms of annotations, and returns the created
CosObj for all annotations, so that your application can easily construct more
complex forms by modifying the basic forms provided here.
Borders
Borders may be placed around an annotation hot spot to highlight it to the user. Prior
to version v4.0, the Adobe PDF Library allowed a definition of a border as an array
of three ASFixed values:
• Horizontal Corner Radius
• Overcall Corner Radius
• Border Width
When Border Width is zero, the border is not drawn.
DLI directly supports this definition only. In the following methods, a reference to
borders is presumably to a NULL pointer, in which case the border is omitted, or a
pointer to an array of three ASFixed values, interpreted as above.
Annotation and Link Colors
Color has a different meaning for each type of annotation:
• For text annotations, it is the color to be used for the background of the closed
annotation.
• For links, it is the border color.
Prior to v4.0 of the Adobe PDF Library, colors could be specified only as an array of
three ASFixed values, representing an RGB color. When used below, color means a
pointer to such an array, or NULL. If NULL, then the viewer will select a color.
