Technical Notes
1 For more information on Encryption, please refer to the beginning of section 3.5
in the Adobe PDF Specification Guide. For information on
PDDocSetNewSecurityData and StdSecurityDataRec, see the Adobe
Core API Reference Guide.
2 This function can be called to set the length of the encryption key before a call to
dlpdfdocencrypt, if the application requires an encryption key length other
than the original 40-bit length of previous versions.
3 This function is optional if the original 40-bit key length will be used. Subsequent
calls to dlpdfdocencrypt will use the number of bytes specified in the call to
dlpdfdocsetencryptkeylen. If the key length has not been set previously, the
standard 5-byte value is used as the default.
4 For applications generating multiple documents, dlpdfdocsetencryptkeylen
must be called for each document for which an encryption key length other than
the standard 5-byte value is desired.
