Annotations<br />

This sample demonstrates types of PDF annotations for which <strong>DLI</strong> provides output<br />

support. (Other annotation types can be done at the COS layer; see the sample<br />

“AcroForm” on page 17.18 for more details.) This sample also shows how to<br />

manipulate RGB color spaces to produce colored text <strong>and</strong> path elements.<br />

Annotations include features such as "sticky notes" (open or closed), bookmarks <strong>and</strong><br />

hyperlinks (enabling the user to jump to other places in the current document, to<br />

other PDF documents or other files, or to Internet addresses elsewhere).<br />

The first two pages of output demonstrate links to other documents <strong>and</strong> to other<br />

pages within the same document. (e.g. a link on Page 1 will take you to Page 2, <strong>and</strong> a<br />

link on Page 2 will take you to Page 1.)<br />

Notice that the link can specify not only the destination being pointed to but also the<br />

type of screen display to use when you arrive. For example, Page 1’s "Link to page 2,"
