Annotations
This sample demonstrates types of PDF annotations for which DLI provides output
support. (Other annotation types can be done at the COS layer; see the sample
“AcroForm” on page 17.18 for more details.) This sample also shows how to
manipulate RGB color spaces to produce colored text and path elements.
Annotations include features such as "sticky notes" (open or closed), bookmarks and
hyperlinks (enabling the user to jump to other places in the current document, to
other PDF documents or other files, or to Internet addresses elsewhere).
The first two pages of output demonstrate links to other documents and to other
pages within the same document. (e.g. a link on Page 1 will take you to Page 2, and a
link on Page 2 will take you to Page 1.)
Notice that the link can specify not only the destination being pointed to but also the
type of screen display to use when you arrive. For example, Page 1’s "Link to page 2,"
