3.4.2 Hall Effect Sensors Hall effect probes are popular magnetic flux measuring devices for the following reasons: • They are long-life solid-state devices. • The voltage output of the device can be alternating current or direct current depending on the current and magnetic field inputs. • As high-speed switches, they provide bounce-free, contact-free logic level voltage transfer. • They have a wide range of operating temperatures (-40°C to +150°C) and are highly repeatable.
