5 Putting the Device Into Operation
To put the device into operation perform the following steps:

1. Insert the SIM card into the device 17

3. Prepare the configuration of the TAINY GMOD-Sx:
On the service PC execute the installation program install.exe
Reason: To be able to configure the TAINY GMOD-Sx the configuration
program must be installed on the PC which you wish to use for this
purpose and which you connect to the service interface of the TAINY
GMOD-Sx. To install this program execute the installation program
install.exe which can be found on the CD supplied with the device.
When this program is executed
• the driver for the interface to the TAINY GMOD-Sx in service mode is
installed on the PC,
• a dial-up connection is created in order that the PC can communicate
with the TAINY GMOD-Sx via the installed driver,
• and the configuration program TAINY GMOD-SxConfig is installed
on the PC.
4. Configure the TAINY GMOD-Sx
Reconfiguration must also be performed if you change your application,
the operating mode or configuration or connection conditions.
