Configuring the <strong>TAINY</strong> <strong>GMOD</strong>-Sx<br />
<strong>TAINY</strong> <strong>GMOD</strong>-Sx can also work as a GSM modem and can set up<br />
GSM data calls (CSD) with 9.600 bps to other modems in the GSM<br />
or analogue network.<br />
GPRS and GSM data connections cannot exist simultaneously. An<br />
existing GPRS connection will be interrupted when a GSM data call<br />
comes in.<br />
Via its interface COM, <strong>TAINY</strong> <strong>GMOD</strong>-Sx can set up GSM data<br />
connections (9.600 bps) and can also accept such calls.<br />
<strong>TAINY</strong> <strong>GMOD</strong>-S2 is equipped with a second serial interface, the<br />
COM2. This interface COM2 exclusively serves the purpose of<br />
accepting GSM data calls (CSD 9.600 bps, without TCP/IP protocol)<br />
from other modems in the GSM or analogue network.<br />
For these GSM data connections the TCP/IP protocol is not used –<br />
see also GSM connections without TCP/IP protocol, page 11.<br />
Precondition: To initiate such GSM data calls (9.600 bps without TCP/IP protocol),<br />
<strong>TAINY</strong> <strong>GMOD</strong>-Sx has to be configured for dial-up connection mode,<br />
configuration tab Connection, Dial-up connection mode (CS).<br />
