6. Capital Expenditures<br />
Total net cash used in investing activities for property,<br />
plant, equipment and intangible purchases, acquisition<br />
of subsidiaries (net of cash acquired) and capital<br />
increase in subsidiaries by minority shareholders are<br />
amounting to TRL 604,280,000.<br />
7. Incentives<br />
Within the framework of the new incentive legislation,<br />
the Company has several investment incentives on a<br />
regional basis. In addition, Anadolu Efes benefits from<br />
several incentives for exports and operations based in<br />
foreign countries as it is a member of the “Turquality”<br />
programme initiated by the Undersecretariat of the<br />
Prime Ministry for Foreign Trade.<br />
8. Information Related to Employees<br />
The average number of employees for the years<br />
ended on 31.12.2010 and 31.12.2009 are as follows<br />

The collective bargaining agreement between the<br />
Company and Tek Gıda İş Labor Union for the period<br />
01.09.2009- 31.08.2011 was signed on 09.10.2009.<br />
Accordingly;<br />
• For the year of the collective bargaining agreement,<br />
hourly wages will increase by 8.95 percent on average,<br />
• In the second year of the agreement, Consumer<br />
Price Index announced by the Turkish Statistical<br />
Institute will be used to determine the wage increases,<br />
• In the first year of the agreement, an 8.72 percent<br />
increase in the social benefits will be made,<br />
• In the second year of the agreement, Consumer<br />
Price Index announced by the Turkish Statistical<br />
Institute will be used for social benefit increase.<br />
9. Donations<br />
The Company’s total consolidated donations to taxexempt<br />
foundations amounted to TL 23,201,078.00<br />
in 2010.<br />
10. Research & Development<br />
The Company’s research and development on<br />
barley, which is used in the production of malt (main<br />
ingredient of beer), continues since 1982. While 13<br />
kinds of barley developed during this period have<br />
been registered, three other kinds, for which the<br />
Company made an application in 2008, were passed<br />
the registration trials with the Ministry of Agriculture<br />
and registration for these kinds are expected.<br />
In line with these research and development activities,<br />
regional productivity of barley has been increased<br />
by up to 30 percent together with enhancement on<br />
quality.<br />

Dilek Başarır - Marketing Director<br />
Dilek Başarır holds a bachelor’s degree in Business<br />
Administration from Boğaziçi University. Dilek Başarır<br />
began her career as a Group Product Supervisor in<br />
EFPA at Anadolu Efes in 1999. She had served as the<br />
Product Manager of various brands from 1999 to 2005<br />
within the EFPA organization. Dilek Başarır serves as<br />
the Marketing Director of Turkey Beer Operations<br />
since November 2005.<br />
Ertan Cüceloğlu - Sales Director<br />
Holding a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Middle<br />
East Technical University, Ertan Cüceloğlu began his<br />
career as a Marketing Specialist in Erciyas Brewery
