Aquatic Resources Development andQuality Improvement Project (ARDQIP) hasbeen supporting NAQDA in developingfresh water capture fisheries and aquacultureup to 2009.Main interventions of this project directlyimpacting on production increases are inculture based fisheries in minor reservoirsand seasonal tanks and fish seed production.Through the implementation of theseactivities, the total carp and tilapiaproduction of all enterprises will increase upto 45,223 metric tons at full development ofthe ARDQIP by the year 2009.
