Participated in the SLISTINETNetwork initiated by the NationalScience Foundation <strong>and</strong> theEconomic <strong>and</strong> Banking LibraryNetwork Programme. (E-BankNet), initiated by the Central Bank.Continued the Sri Lanka NationalLibrary Network activities.India, Bhutan, Bangladesh <strong>and</strong> SriLanka.Co-ordination with the SAARCDocumentation CentreCDI serves as the National Focal Point forthe SAARC Documentation Centre, NewDelhi. Under this programme there iscoordination with the information centres<strong>and</strong> libraries within the country as well asamong SAARC member Countries.Sent 10 Sri Lankan participantsfrom the Library <strong>and</strong>Documentation field, for thetraining in Library <strong>and</strong>Information Science at theSAARC Documentation Centre,New Delhi.Contributed Sri Lankan Literaturefor updating the SAARC databases<strong>and</strong> publications.Regularly receiving the science<strong>and</strong> technology journals <strong>of</strong>SAARC Documentation centres<strong>and</strong> widely circulated them amongthe various S & T, R & Dinstitutions <strong>and</strong> universities.Other special activities undertaken.Organized the SAARC AnnualWorkshop on “Digital Librariesusing Open Source S<strong>of</strong>tware” inco-operation with the SAARCDocumentation Centre, New Delhi.A Workshop was held from 13 th -17 th December <strong>2010</strong> in Colombo,Sri Lanka.
