Develop a network <strong>of</strong> modernhospitals with state-<strong>of</strong>-the-arttechnologies <strong>and</strong> pleasant livingenvironment8. Provide mental health services moreeffectively9. Introduce effective <strong>and</strong> affordable newtechnologies <strong>and</strong> innovations into thestate healthcare services10. Regulate drug pricesThe country faces several emergingchallenges such as increasing Noncommunicable diseases whilecommunicable diseases still remain achallenge, increasing elderly carerehabilitation due to rapid increase inelderly population, continuing challengesin maternal <strong>and</strong> child health <strong>and</strong> vaccinepreventable diseases, malnutrition thatremains high amongst children under five,the increasing costs in healthcare <strong>and</strong>regularizing the private sector.Human resource requirements for keycategories in the health sector such asdoctors, nurses, etc <strong>and</strong> infrastructuredevelopment should be addressed in atimely manner in order to meet the needs<strong>of</strong> the health sector Most <strong>of</strong> the jobcategories <strong>of</strong> health sector staff areundergoing vast changes due totechnological advancement in the field <strong>of</strong>medical technology <strong>and</strong> the increasingquality consciousness. Therefore, inservice training is an emerging need to beaddressed.To ensure elderly health care,establishment <strong>of</strong> rehabilitation centers isalso a pressing need. It is required toestablish a health information system (ebased).Itis necessary to encourage publicprivatepartnership both in the provision<strong>and</strong> financing <strong>of</strong> decentralized healthfacilities.
