Attended the Steering Committeemeetings <strong>of</strong> the post tsunami coastalrehabilitation & resource managementProgramme. Participated in progress reviewmeetings <strong>and</strong> Policy review meetings.Prepared Dayata Kirula”- Moneragaladistrict development plan <strong>2010</strong>- 2011<strong>and</strong> those identified developmentneeds <strong>of</strong> inl<strong>and</strong> fisheries in selectedtanks, release <strong>of</strong> fingerlings (1million), provision <strong>of</strong> nets <strong>and</strong> boats,market facilities. Out <strong>of</strong> the totalgovernment investment <strong>of</strong> about Rs. 5.7billion made in the Livestock sector during2006-<strong>2010</strong> period, Rs. 3.8 billion has beenspent as capital expenditure taking in toaccount the priority areas for futuregrowth, employment generation <strong>and</strong>increasing income <strong>of</strong> rural farmers.149
