Safety Guidelines
This manual contains notices which
you should observe to ensure your own
personal safety, as well as to protect the
product and connected equipment. These
notices are highlighted in the manual
by a warning triangle and are marked as
follows according to the level of danger.
This equipment contains hazardous
voltages. Death, serious personal injury,
or property damage can result if safety

safety notices, and maintenance
procedures contained herein. The
successful and safe operation of this

Danger

product labels, DANGER indicates an
imminently hazardous situation which,
if not avoided, will result in death or
serious injury.
Warning
For the purpose of this manual and
product labels, WARNING indicates a
potentially hazardous situation which,
if not avoided, could result in death or
serious injury.
Caution
For the purpose of this manual and
product labels, CAUTION indicates a
potentially hazardous situation which,
if not avoided, may result in minor or
moderate injury.
Attention
Draws your attention to particularly
important information on the product,
handling the product, or to a particular
part of the documentation.
Qualified Personnel
For the purpose of this manual and
product labels, a qualified person is one
who is familiar with the installation,
construction and operation of the
equipment, and the hazards involved.
In addition, he or she has the following
qualifications:
(a) Is trained and authorized to energize,
de-energize, clear, ground and tag
circuits and equipment in accordance
with established safety practices.
(b) Is trained in the proper care and use
of protective equipment, such as
rubber gloves, hard hat, safety glasses
or face shield, flash clothing, etc.,
in accordance with established
safety practices.
(c) Is trained in rendering first aid.
