The course showsparticipants how to implement an individualcareer development plan in conjunction withtheir HR manager and direct line manager.The Group now offers a comprehensive rangeof management seminars which are heldat the <strong>BNP</strong> <strong>Paribas</strong> campus in Louveciennes.Each year, the seminars are attended by morethan 2,000 employees from all business linesand regions.<strong>BNP</strong> <strong>Paribas</strong> also encourages its employeesto share and impart knowledge by partneringwith academic institutions. A number of managersand experts in a variety of fields contributeto courses run by universities and professionaltraining institutions.Constructive employer-employeerelationsThe Commission on Employment <strong>La</strong>w –<strong>BNP</strong> <strong>Paribas</strong> SA’s labour information andnegotiation body – met on 29 occasions in<strong>2004</strong> and negotiated the signing of 17 companyagreements relating to a wide variety of subjectsincluding salaries, social welfare, male-femaleequality in the workplace and training.The Group also holds discussions with employeerepresentative bodies that are more familiarwith the situation at ground level. A networkof 104 local works councils enables issuesto be handled at the appropriate level.
