TRAVELING/OPERATING THE MACHINE ONA SLOPEOPERATING THE MACHINECAUTION: Traveling or operating the machineon a slope is hazardous. Reduce traveling or operatingspeed so that the machine will not skid orturn over.• Never attempt to climb a slope steeper than 20# or totravel across a slope face steeper than 5#.• Before traveling on a slope, be sure to fasten the seatbelt.• When traveling on a slope, hold the bucket teeth at apoint (A) approx. 0.5 to 1.0 m above the ground. If themachine starts to slip or to becomes unstable, immediatelylower the bucket to the ground and stop traveling.• Never change travel direction on a slope. Turning overor skidding of the machine may result. In case changingtravel direction is unavoidable, steer the machineon a solid surface with gentle inclination.• Avoid traveling across a slope face as less as possibleas it is very hazardous due to skid.• Do not swing to downhill side on a slope. Turning overof the machine may result. Reduce the swing andboom speeds even when swinging to the uphill side.• In case the engine stalls on a slope, be sure to stepon the brake pedal and return the F-N-R lever to neutral. Then, restart the engine.SA-090SA-2885-15
