In addition, prompttransportation of the injured person to a physician or hospital, or a communicationsystem for contacting necessary ambulance service, shall be provided."First Aide improves safety" factor was ranked in the second position amongemergency preparedness group with RII = 0.721 and was ranked in the 20 th positionamong all groups factors of quality. This result illustrates that the employer shallinsure the availability of medical personnel for advice and consultation on matters ofoccupational safety and health. The first aide could also train workers formally ornon-formally on how to react in case of accidents. Companies should considerselected workers to train in the field of first aid to help serving injured workmates."Emergency plans at company decreases accidents" factor was ranked in the thirdposition among emergency preparedness group with RII = 0.672 and was ranked inthe 36 th position among all groups factors of quality. This result shows that a companythat is fully equipped with emergency plans faces fewer accidents due to risk107
preparedness. Emergency operations or Emergency preparedness is a set of doctrinesto prepare project employees to cope with natural or man-made accidents. Emergencyplan can save money and lives when planned and managed properly. Emergencyresponse actions are guided by the project manager to protect workers safety. It iswidely believed that being prepared no matter how much it costs is still less costlythan accident compensation.GROUP 9: Evaluation, Selection and Control of SubcontractorsTable 4.19 shows the respondents’ opinion about evaluation, selection and control ofsubcontractors with regard to quality according to Likert scale.
