The windlass (shown in Fig. 7.5) offers youthe ability to raise and lower your anchor.7.3.11.1 To operate the windlass:Lower Anchor1. Turn on battery switch.2. Turn on windlass breaker at DC Panel.3. Push windlass “Down” button on nav station.Note: “Bump” switch until anchor clears anchor roller andhull before letting anchor down freely.Raising Anchor1. Start boat engine, this will allow control of boat whenanchor becomes free, as well as reducing load on battery.2. Push windlass “Up” button being careful as the anchorapproaches the hull and anchor roller. Continue until theanchor rests in the stemhead properly.Note: If it appears there is no power to the windlass,check reset breaker in stbd. aft cockpit locker.
