Nagaraja• THEME OR TYPE OF PROJECT Working regarding Health, education and environment.• AIMS OF THE PROJECT The aim of the project is to provide primary education andhealth care. To teach children good habits and good moralsby conducting regular classes. Each class has a strenth of50 students. There will be 5 classes in each school in thefive target villages.• PROJECT’S ACTIVITIES Our organization has conducted literacy classes for ruralmen and women in order to educate them so that they couldlive on par with others in the society. We are alsointerested in providing primary education and health carefor poor rural children. They also attend Bible classesconducted on every Sunday. In order to help the children togrow on healthy principles they are involved in therecreational activities.• COMMUNITY CONTEXT The local community consists of the SC, ST, BC andweaker sections and most of them are agriculture laborerson daily wages and some of them work in the homes of therich land lords and their farm lands. They are socially andeconomically backward. The target villages mentionedabove are situated very nears to the reserved forest. Someof them depend upon the forest. They collect the firewoodhoney and the forest fruits and sell them in these villagesand thus eke out their livelihoods. The target group’schildren are selected from these local communities and theywill be admitted in the child care centers for taking care ofthem in the best possible manners. They will receiveeducation through sports and outdoor activities.• VOLUNTEER’S REQUIREMENTS Only those Volunteers who are sincere and dedicatedworkers will be identified and selected for the project job.We do not select the problematic volunteers with languageproblem and with no knowledge and skills of various kinds.• VOLUNTEER’S TASKS The volunteers will assist in bringing some of the childrenfrom their homes and taking them back to their homes inthe absence of the Ayahs. If more projects are undertakenat one time they will be divided and diverted to the projectwhere necessary. They will be doing the work sincerelywhere they are posted.Visits to the schools their residences getting food articlesfrom the market where needed, in case of emergency takingthe children to the doctor or hospitals etc.• HOST SITUATION Food and accommodation will be provide by Project
