The total population of the BangaloreNorth-WestBangalore Urban has a population of 56 lakhs andof this an estimated 5% population are persons withdisabilities - people who find difficulty in walking,seeing, hearing or have intellectual impairments.The general health condition in slums of Bangaloreis poor and even though medi-care facilities areadequate, it is unaffordable by the poor.
