LEEDis conducting awareness programmes like cancerawareness, ill effects of alcohol, tobacco etc butstill it is happening there.The people have to work daily to fill their stomachbut the flow of money is irregular which indirectlyincrease the number of pawnbroker (moneylenders) shops in the area. People know theimportance of savings but they lack properplanning and budgeting and could not do savings.Recently government and local NGOs organize selfhelp groups which make the women to save and getloan for less interest. The concept of self helpgroup is lacking due to lack of awareness in them.• VOLUNTEER’S REQUIREMENTSVolunteers who are committed to the concern ofthe underprivileged and people friendly , who areready to live in difficult situations , good inmarketing, creative , open minded , have specialskills in handicrafts, management, theatre , arts ,languages to teach children, staff and youths.Who are media related to help create documentarymovies, create awareness and explore thepossibility in the overall development of theorganisation to help the beneficiaries develop.volunteers involved in the education relatedactivities could help to teach the children language,teach different skills he/ she knows in order todevelop a programVolunteers involved in community developmentcould help in development of the community withcreating a program or to strengthen the existingprograms, creating awareness related to health,rights, environment and other issues.• VOLUNTEER’S TASKS• HOST SITUATIONVolunteers could assist in the programs, help indesigning the programs, proposal and help to raisefunds, teach the skills, languages to children, staffand youths.
