their services there, such skills which are desirableand helpful but not essential are; experience inhealthcare (Ayurveda or Homeopathy are best),teaching experience (especially English as aforeign language), experience working with smallchildren, professional musicians, experience in thefield of agriculture or horticulture and anyone withgood office skills are always welcome.• VOLUNTEER’S TASKS **Classroom Teaching Assistant – This taskinvolves working with our younger children andtheir teachers helping with English, Maths andSocial Science classes. At any one time we havethree volunteers for this task, one deal withEnglish, one maths and the other Science classes.The classes are on six days a weeks and generallythere are two or three classes a day of 45 minuteseach in which the volunteer will have be involvedin. The volunteer will also have to prepare materialfor the classes and monitor the children’s progress.**Healthcare Assistant – This task involveshelping our staff to look after the children’s healthcare. Every morning our infirmary is open toanyone who needs care. In the evening the healthteam go to the children’s hostels to offer any carethat is needed. This task will also involveaccompanying any children should they need to goto hospital or the dentist.**Garden Worker – We have some organicvegetable plots which require all year roundattention. There are many tasks involved in thiswork from planting seeds or trees to diggingirrigation channels for the banana plantation. Weare in the process of developing our land so thereare many areas of our land that need the attentionof anyone with green fingers!**Office Assistant – This can also be very variedwork. There are many day to day office tasks, suchas; working with the accounts or helping to prepareschedules. As well as these there are other tasks,such as; preparing presentation documents of theschool, helping to organize functions and outingsfor the children.**Kindergarten Assistant – This task involveshelping our staff with our smaller children in theLKG classes. These classes generally involvelearning through games. These classes only run fora few hours in the morning so volunteers whocome for this task will have to be prepared forother duties in the afternoons.**Children’s Wardens – We require two volunteersfor this position one male for the boy’s warden andone female for the girl’s warden. Again thesevolunteers will work alongside our permanent staff.This task generally involves looking after thechildren outside there classes. This means early inthe morning until 10am and then again in theevening until lights out at 9pm.All these tasks are ongoing tasks.Whilst volunteers are with us they have the
