Climate is moderate throughout the year.B R Hills is well connected by road fromBangalore.• VOLUNTEER’S REQUIREMENTS The volunteer should be at a graduate/undergraduate /post graduate in life sciences.He/she should have good communication skills andproficiency in English. Knowledge of Kannada willbe an added advantage. The job requires travellingoccasionally and henceforth, the volunteer shouldbe willing to travel. Divya Deepastrongly believes that development of the nationcan be achieved by working at the grass roots level.It has bagged "Rotary Ramya Award" given forexcellence in Social Service.Divya Deepa strongly endorses this missionstatement:`To focus on the opportunity deprived children,helping them to get a move on with their lives andshow the way to achieve their dreams, by providingnecessary help, care, empathy and value basededucation`.They feel that every child has an equal opportunityto learn, innovate and excel in its life.Children used to either drop out or fail to reach thedesired educational standards due to illiteracy,ignorance and poverty of the parents, lack ofinfrastructure in the village schools etc. DivyaDeepa started educating kids through the followingactivities: Non-formal classes in English &MathematicsPersonality development & yoga camps Outdoor education through excursions Environmental awareness programs Art & craft activities Music, drama & other cultural activitiesKaliyuva Mane its a logical sequel to DivyaDeepa's initiatives.Target group: Rural and young children optingout of schools to assist their parents due to poverty,
