The project strengthens SHGs intribal areas, provides vocational training ontailoring, poultry farming, agarbathi rolling andspinning.• COMMUNITY CONTEXT Yelandur Taluk of Chamarajanagar district islocated about 180 km from Bangalore. It is a ruralarea with Kannada as the most commonly spokenlanguage. Climate is moderate throughout the year.Yelandur is well connected by road fromBangalore.• VOLUNTEER’S REQUIREMENTS The volunteer should be at a graduate/undergraduate / post graduate in life sciences.He/she should have good communication skills andproficiency in English. Knowledge of Kannada willbe an added advantage. The job requires travellingoccasionally and henceforth, the volunteer shouldbe willing to travel.
